Meta, formerly known as Facebook is stepping up its game in the world of artificial intelligence (AI), and rumors are swirling that the company is gearing up to launch its own standalone AI chatbot to compete with the likes of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has recently decided to discontinue its third-party fact-checking program in the United States. Instead, the company is implementing "Community Notes," a user-driven system similar to the model used by Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter). Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg defended this move, asserting that third-party moderation had become "too politically biased."
