Listen to the article:

Samsung’s long-standing customization tool, Good Lock, has finally broken free of its regional shackles. As of April 2025, Good Lock is officially available on the Google Play Store, marking the start of its global expansion—something Galaxy fans outside select countries have been waiting on for years.

Originally launched in 2016 and previously confined to the Galaxy Store and a limited number of markets, Good Lock was a hidden gem for users who wanted more control over how their phones looked and worked. Now, it’s stepping into the spotlight with a fresh design and a much wider reach.

The timing is interesting. While Samsung’s rollout of One UI 7 has hit a pause for reasons they haven’t quite explained, the company went ahead with Good Lock’s global release. And it’s not just in the Play Store—it’s also reportedly popped up in countries like Romania, where it had never been available before. So while it’s not technically everywhere just yet, the global push has clearly begun.

If you’re using a Galaxy device running One UI 7 or later, you can now grab Good Lock straight from the Play Store—no need to dig around in the Galaxy Store anymore. That said, not all devices show up as supported for remote installation. For instance, Galaxy S25 Ultra works just fine, but Galaxy Z Fold 6 users might find themselves blocked for now, even if they’re on the right software version.

What makes Good Lock so popular? It’s the modules. Whether you want to completely rework your lock screen with Lock Star, amp up your audio experience using Sound Assistant, or give your keyboard a visual overhaul through Keys Cafe, there’s a tool for just about every part of your phone. The top three most downloaded modules—Sound Assistant, Theme Park, and One Hand Operation+—collectively clock in over 50 million installs.

In short, Good Lock turns your Galaxy phone into something uniquely yours. No rooting, no risky mods—just a suite of powerful tools designed by Samsung to help you tweak, fine-tune, and personalize your device down to the smallest detail.

So if you’ve been feeling boxed in by stock settings, it might be time to explore what Good Lock can do. It’s live on the Play Store now—and finally, it’s for more than just a select few.
