Google is pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence with the official launch of Gemini 2.5 Pro (Experimental). Dubbed as their most intelligent model so far, Gemini 2.5 Pro isn’t just faster or bigger—it is designed as a true “reasoning model” capable of analyzing, understanding, and solving complex tasks with remarkable precision.
The model has already claimed the top spot on the LMArena leaderboard, outperforming competitors by a significant margin. Since this benchmark reflects human preference ratings, the results indicate that users favor how Gemini 2.5 Pro thinks and responds—an impressive achievement in the AI space.

What truly distinguishes Gemini 2.5 Pro is its reasoning capability. Rather than merely generating predictions or classifications, the model processes information contextually, applies logic, and produces more accurate, thoughtful responses. In essence, this AI demonstrates the ability to “think” through complex scenarios. The release of Gemini 2.5 Pro marks a significant leap from earlier versions, including Gemini 20, which played a key role in shaping Google’s AI advancements.
Its advancements in coding are equally noteworthy. Gemini 2.5 Pro doesn’t just write code—it builds visually engaging web applications, refactors and edits code, and even develops agentic applications. On the SWE-Bench Verified benchmark, it achieves an impressive 63.8% score using a custom agent setup—a significant leap forward for developers.
The model also excels in mathematics and science tasks, performing well on benchmarks like AIME 2025 and GPQA Diamond, all without relying on costly test-time strategies such as majority voting. On Humanity’s Last Exam—a rigorous dataset designed to test human-level knowledge and reasoning—Gemini 2.5 Pro sets a new benchmark with a score of 18.8%.

Another standout capability is its massive context window. Gemini 2.5 Pro currently supports up to 1 million tokens of input, with support for 2 million tokens coming soon. This allows the model to handle diverse content simultaneously—text, audio, images, video, and even entire code repositories—making it exceptionally versatile.
For now, developers can explore Gemini 2.5 Pro via Google AI Studio, while Gemini Advanced subscribers can access it directly through the app. A rollout to Vertex AI is also planned in the coming weeks. Pricing details, along with higher rate limits for production-scale usage, will be announced soon. An experimental version of Gemini 2.5 Pro is available now in the Gemini app for Gemini Advanced users: http://gemini.google.com/app.
With Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google is not merely upgrading AI capabilities—they are laying the groundwork for more intelligent, context-aware agents equipped to solve real-world challenges.
