China is making significant strides to address the growing concerns surrounding AI-generated content with new regulations designed to enhance transparency and curb misinformation.

Google has just released a security update to address critical vulnerabilities including zero-day. In its latest Android Security Bulletin (February 2025), Google announced that a zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2024-53104) in the Android system has been actively exploited by hackers. A zero-day is a security weakness that hackers exploit before developers can fix it—meaning cybercriminals get a head start in attacking devices. This flaw stems from errors in how Android processes video frames from USB video devices. creating a loophole that hackers can use to access your phone without permission. Given the fact that this exploit is already in use, it poses a serious security risk.

Various Android versions are affected by the vulnerabilities, especially those with outdated security updates. Google has rolled out two security patches—2025-02-01 and 2025-02-05—to address the issue. However, even though Google has just addressed the vulnerabilities in the Android system. It’s still up to the phone manufacturers and users to install it.

How to keep your Android phone safe:

1. Make sure to update your phone ASAP.

2. If your Android phone is outdated and no longer receives updates, consider upgrading to a newer

    model.

3. Avoid using unfamiliar public USB ports, hackers can use then to sneak in malware onto your

    device.

4. Install a reliable security app to help detect and block potential threats.

Hackers can take advantage of security flaws like Zero-day before you even know it. Google has done its part by fixing this vulnerability, it’s now up to you to protect your device and data. Update your phone now, be mindful of where you plug it in, A few precautions today could save you from serious trouble later.
